The Anki occurrence is located on the northwest slope of Northwest Mountain, about 1.5 kilometres east of Hankin Creek, approximately 60 kilometres north of Dease Lake.

The showing area is underlain by fine-grained basalt and chlorite schist of the Upper Triassic Shonektaw Formation (Takla Group). Minor copper occurs in the schist in a 15 centimetre wide quartz vein mineralized with 2 to 3 per cent pyrite and chalcopyrite. The vein strikes southeast and is traceable for 0.5 metre.

In 1982, as a result of a regional exploration programme carried out by Du Pont of Canada Exploration Limited, 29 properties were staked and follow up soil and stream sediment sampling was conducted in addition to bedrock mapping.
